Experience Experiments

What does a ping pong ball, wind-up toy, and duck tape have to do with classical music? Surprisingly these are different elements German composer Hauschka has used in creating new sounds to his composed orchestral music. With great similarity to that of Yann Tiersen, Hauschka brings playfully dark and somber components with romantic piano, music box melodies and profound strings. He adds an unusual touch, taping the piano chords or placing ping pong balls into the piano. Hauschka continues to experiment with different objects looking for new sounds to add to his compositions, making his live shows and tracks interesting to hear and see.
